So Saturday night, Suzanne and I thought it would be a great idea to go see the late movie of Mama Mia....So this is how it started , we are all excited because we have both been wanting to see it and neither my brother or my husband wanted to see it with us, so after the guy's golf tournament on Saturday they told us after the kids were in bed we could go (hence late movie).
So I take it upon myself to look up the times and I "think" I see it playing at Jordan commons at 10:30 pm......
So we get there, only to find that it was playing at the DISTRICT at 10:30pm, NOT Jordan commons. I struggle... So we're like "okay lets try and make it to another late movie elsewhere". We spend all this time looking up theaters to find that the only other late movie is at 11:15pm at the drive-inn...not really in the mood for that. So we are like "okay let's at least get some popcorn and a drink". Oh no the concessions stands are ALL closed. Seriously! Oh no it gets worse.
So then I go to look for my keys in my purse, and....nothing! They are not in my purse! So I'm like"okay my car has got to be unlocked" oh no it wasn't! So we look in my car, and you can see my freakin keys in the console! I'm like "are you serious!" All of our kids are in bed so neither Ty or Nate can bring me a spare, So I call my good friend Amanda and luckily she can come get us. I first call information for a locksmith and they direct me to this one, I don't remember the name, but they struggled! The guy on the other line couldn't hear I swear, then they have the "technician" call me and he freakin can't even speak English and he tells me that it is a 40 dollar service charge then an additional 50-100 dollars on top of that. I'm like..."no I can figure something out".
So I call Ty and tell him to leave the spare key out and we go pick it up. We drive ALL the way back up to the theater only to find that it isn't the right key! And my spare is actually on my key chain in the car also! Why I have it on there I do not know! So I'm feeling like the biggest idiot right now. And I want to cry! But I don't, I suck it up and we drive all the way back to my parents where Nate and Suzanne are staying right now, and we get the necessities to "break" into my car. You know a wire hanger, flashlight etc...and we grab a phonebook to look up another locksmiths on the way. Suzanne gets a hold of one that is 65 dollars (that is the cheapest we could find) so we tell them that we might need them to come out, but that we will call them back.
So we then proceed to pry my door open and get the wire hanger in the door. We were sooo close, but the hanger wasn't strong enough so we couldn't push down on the lock. Oh and we were so close , but ended up just calling the locksmith and hoping he could get out here soon, mind you it is 1:15 am by this time. I have Ty calling me wondering what's going on, and the locksmith tells us it will be another 45 Min's! But we had no choice, so we waited.
Eventually the locksmith showed up and I swear this kid looked like he was 12! But he was way nice and even though he needed to use a few of our essential items like the flashlight and such he got the car unlocked! By this time it is 2:00am! And we got home and in bed by about 3:45am......
Needless to say it was a long night! I guess someone did not want us to see that movie that particular night. And I am so glad it was Suzanne and Amanda because they as well as any of my other close friends are so understanding and by the end of the night it was actually kind of funny! By the next morning we were really laughing. We didn't get to see our movie, we didn't even get any popcorn or candy or drinks, we were locked out of my car and 65 dollars and 4 hours later we were in bed laughing. I guess it is now just a funny story to tell.
But, Suzanne and I did end up seeing the late movie Sunday night to make up for it. We were bound and determined, and everything went smoothly. And the show was way cute! I do have to say it was all worth it.
Now you can all go ahead and continue laughing and making fun of me for locking my keys in my car and having such bad luck..its okay I give you permission.
P.S. I still haven't passed my kidney stone...yeah I know life is interesting sometimes.

That sucks that it was so late, you ran all over and still had to call someone to unlock it. But it's great that you could laugh about it later. And that sucks you haven't passed your stone yet!
