Quotes from my kids

My kids always say the funniest things but lately I have noticed them saying some extra funny things. So, I wanted to put them down so that I wouldn't forget.

Jake: The other day Jake was super ornery..it was late time for bed etc..Anyway, ty was trying to play around with him and cheer him up but Jake was just not having it. Here is how their conversation went,

Jake: "dad take your face off!"

Ty: "you want me to take my face off?" (in shock and laughing)

Jake: "yes take it off!"

Ty: "well how am I supposed to do that, and where will I put it?"

Jake: "just take it off now and put it in my shoe!"

Me and Ty just stared at each other for a sec and then busted up laughing! Like, what does he even mean?? Oh my it was so funny :)

Then, just today after I dropped Oke off for school we are driving in my car and

Jake goes: "mom I want a phone"

Me: "you do? but your only 3, what could you possibly need your own phone for?"

Jake: "to call people"

Me: "I can call them for you honey"
Jake: "but they won't know who you are, I need to talk to them"

Me: "ok buddy I will think about it" (totally not)

Jake: "k and I want an Ipod one...."

How in the world does he even know anything about that? He's 3! That goes to show ya how much we run off technology!

Now for Oke,

This one happened probably like 2 months ago, but I never got around to putting it down.

So, I was on the phone with my sister and we were talking about kids\babies and such and she was talking about her youngest (my niece brinklee) and something about brinklee and the other kids playing and fighting or something (ya know normal sibling stuff) and lis was saying how brinklee wants to be big like the other kids and thinks she is sometimes but then the kids will be too rough with her or something.

Anyway, Oke is sitting on the couch in the front room and he must have been listening to our conversation and understood the gist of it because out of nowhere Oke goes "she's just little she doesn't understand" (talking about brinklee) And I just looked at him and thought..you are absolutely right! Lisa heard him too and we were both laughing because it's just crazy how he acts so much older than his age. He is so sweet :)

Then, about 2 weeks ago I picked oklan up from school and asked him how his day was and so on and he goes: "mom you know Jackson in my class?" (Jackson is a cute little boy in his class that has some learning disabilities and some other things) So I say "yes I do know Jackson" Oklan says, "well you know how he has a hard time sometimes with the work and stuff?" I say, "yes". Oklan says, "well you know you should not make a big deal about it or say anything about it because it makes him sad" I said, "yes I know that, everyone in the class should just worry about themselves"

And Oklan says, "I know I played with jackson at recess and after in the class he wanted to sit by me so the teacher let him, and ya know what else mom he drew a really good picture and I gave him a hug and told him it was a really good picture because I want him to be happy at school, after all we all have a hard time sometimes" Oh my heck I started tearing up and gave him the biggest hug! I am so happy to claim him, Oklan is amazingly sweet and such a good kid.

I love my boys so much and DO NOT know what I would do without them!

Oh my word. Oklan is just way too cute. Funny thing is that I can picture him saying every bit of that. He is more mature than he should be. I wish I could see you guys more and love on my nephews. I cannot believe how big both of them are. The bigger Jake get's the more Ty he has in him, it is crazy. Sweet, sweete boys. Love them!
