Oklan started 2ND grade a few weeks ago and Jake started his 1st year of preschool today so I thought I would do one post for both.
-Oklan got such another great teacher this year! We are so excited for him. He is in a class with 2 kids from the neighborhood (one being our next door neighbor) and 2 other great friends. So he was so ready to start school! Also, this year their class will be out in a portable since they have soooo many kids in that school, so at first I didn't know what to think considering they are still pretty little. But yesterday was back to school night so we got to meet the teacher and check out the portable and I was really impressed! It's really big inside and cool, and the teacher has done a great job getting her room together. Also, Oklan thinks it's the coolest thing ever! And all the kids love it so we are happy for him. Oke is such a great kid and we are amazed every year with how much he has grown in every way.
-Jake had his first day of preschool today he goes Wednesday and Friday for 2 1/2 hours and let me tell you he was soooooo ready and excited! He didn't shed a tear (which made me happy, but also made me realize how big he's getting) he hopped out of the car with his little car backpack that his Mimi got him and off he went without even looking back! I was like ummm hello kiss and hug goodbye! When I went to pick him up he was all smiles and the teacher said he did great and had no problems what-so-ever. I am so proud of him! The whole way home he kept telling me how it was so fun, and he played with this other little boy named lennox, and how they did flashcards and worksheets, and played and sang songs and the teacher gave all the kids their own pack of flashcards and he went on and on...I was grinning from ear to ear listening to him. He also has really grown so much in every way especially this past year and Ty and I are in shock with how big our kids are getting!

Can't get over how dang cute your boys are! School is always so exciting and it is so fun that your boys love it!
K so I was so excited that both boys love and were excited for school this year, but I was kind of sad when I was reading Jake's. I cannot believe how big Jake is getting and I was feeling kind of like, "wait a minute he is not ready for preschool, I remember when he was first born". I kind of had a sad mommy moment and he isn't even my child. Crazy moment! I love Oklan's backpack! Love those 2 boys as if they were my own and CANNOT wait to see you in a few short weeks. Love you guys!
