Oklan Turns 7!

Today was our sweet Okes' 7Th birthday and as he said...this has been the best birthday ever! We didn't do a friend party this year since we have done one for him every year since he was 3. So I feel it was time for a year off. Also, we are leaving for bear lake tomorrow so I really didn't know when we would "fit it in".
Anyway, so the day started with him waking up to balloons all over his room, one present he got to open before school, and a fun poster on his door pointing out that he was the birthday boy :)
Then he polished off some french toast and was off to school. He was so excited for school it was cute. His teacher gives him a sticker to wear saying "today is my birthday" and she gives him a birthday book. And at the end of the day about 30 mins before schools out I went in to pass out treats with him to the class....we passed out ring pops and the kids were thrilled. Then they gave him a poster with a bunch of things written on it that they thought of him, like "awesome", some kids wrote "athletic" (cute), some girls wrote "handsome" and "cute" (oh boy already). And they signed their names and he got to take the poster home. Then we all sang happy birthday to him and I took him home a little early. I could tell it made him feel special :)
Then we came home and ate dinner which was homemade chicken noodle soup with rolls (as per Oklans' request :) And ate cupcakes which were shaped into a super Mario face (super target is awesome!) next to Schmidt's of course :) and Ice cream and opened the last of his presents. After, we watched the Utah game! What a great day! We love you Oke!!!
