I just want to take a minute and document how amazing our children are. I can't help but brag about them especially right now because things are going so great for both of them! I personally think every parent has every right to do the same about their kids so here we go :) So, We just had parent teacher conferences for both kids and they both got nothing but E's (which in elementary and preschool are A's) and had perfect feedback from their teachers about their behavior. Jakes' teacher just adores him! She has a bit of a hard class and she was just raving about how well behaved and smart Jake is. He gets everything right the first time, you never have to ask him more than once to clean up, and he is nice and polite to everyone. He loves school and we are so grateful for him!
Oklan, WOW! Every year he has gotten great report cards and feed back from his teachers, but so far this year it has been way above level. First off, he is at a level N reading level (which is the level for a 3rd grader at the end of second term). And he is at the end of his first term and in 2ND grade! He understands math almost completely, he NEVER and I mean NEVER wants to miss school! He has soooo many friends and comes home happy as can be every day. When parent teacher conferences came I felt pretty good about the meeting because we got his report card before so I knew what his grades were and they were all E's and 4's except for one 3. So basically an overall A. But what really got me was when his teacher got a bit emotional when she began to tell me how great of a leader he was and how kind and respectful he is to all the other kids, and the faculty. There are a few kids in resource in their class and she sits 2 of them next to Oklan purposely because he is so willing to help them and is so patient. I am just so proud! Then to top it off, Oklan comes home today and the first thing he says is "today was like the best day ever!" It is Monday, so that says a lot! hahaha. So he starts telling me how he passed his math test, and his Dolche word list off. And at the end of the day he and 2 other kids got called to come up and his teacher gave them an award that the school is doing now to acknowledge students for good behavior and academics. It is called the Dragon Leader Award. And we get to go to a little breakfast reception next Thursday to honor them. In each class the teacher just picks 3 kids...and My Okie got picked! Don't worry I was crying tears of joy! So proud and grateful for my children!!!
His Dragon Leader Award
His Spelling test from Friday. He got all of them right as well as the bonus words. And he is on Challenge which is the hardest level.
Okay that concludes my bragging.....feel free to do the same about your kids and I will read as well! yay for amazing kids :)
Have a great day!!!
